George FRIEND c1770

[Kiaya]

I am looking for any information regarding George Friend c 1770 possibly from Whitchurch. He and his wife Mary had a son Charles Friend born 1798 and baptised in Marksbury. Charles married Sarah (?) and their daughter born 1818 was baptised in Marksbury but they lived in Whitchurch, hence what I think to be a connection to Whitchurch.

Hi Helen,

I don't know what is going on with these posts as Ii didn't write a message to anyone yesterday.
I have sent a report to the moderator about how this could happen, then as I was about to close it all down I noticed that this message of mine was dated 2010. 

IT"S 9 years late.  So I suggest we both forgot about it, I already had forgotten

Helen is quite correct, if you reply as a PM then no one else know what information has or has not been found it puts off folk from also replying as they do not know if they are duplicating what has already been done.As Geoff has said the reply was done in 2010, too long ago for him to remember.

Hello Sarah,

I agree with you and Helen, but the problem here is, you know nothing about why I send a pm to anyone.  As you would know though, a lot of members list the names they are researching on the bottom of their posts.  If I see a name that I'm researching, and it's in the shire that I have an interest in. then I send that person a pm to find out if there is a reason to get further involved.
That is why, and I see no reason to change the way I use the pm facility, for the reason I have stated here.
