Giblett Family
« on: Saturday 24 July 10 08:59 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to make contact and find out at the descendants of Arthur Giblett (m. Ellen Emily Shaw in 1907).  The Shaw family was based around Baconsthorpe and Plumstead in 1901 and 1911.  Arthur Giblett originated from Croydon.  Please could anyone with any current connections interested in getting in contact PM me.

Thanks

Alex

Hi Alex, Have you got the 1911 census details for Arthur & Ellen?  From a quick free search of the index it looks as though Arthur may have been on his own in Croydon and possibly Ellen was in Erpingham in Norfolk.  If there is a Norfolk connection there are 4 possible children (2 girls, 2 boys).  Do you know if they had any children?  And, if so, any idea of names/dates?  Dazey

Sorry - just looked up Baconsthorpe and found it's in Norfolk and is covered by the Erpingham reg. district!  So, looks like they possibly had 2 daughters & 2 sons.  Would that be right?

Have a look on Genes Reunited - at least 4 people have your Arthur in their tree.
