Tasmania Birth and Marriage look up. ronald allan EDWARDS

         I am looking for the birth details of Ronald Allan(Allen) EDWARDS on behalf of my mother.

From what I have been about to find out on his military record, he might have been  born on 29 May 1919 in maybe Launceston, TAS. He may also have been born in 1914.

Also looking for the marriage entry for his mother and father. I am unsure as to his fathers name. It could be Henry or Allan. His mothers name was Ruby.

I apologise for the scantness of information, as he was not really truthful to my grandmother

No birth entry in the TAS indexes to 1919 which is the extent of them.

Only one marriage of a Mr Edwards to a Ruby up to 1930 which is the extent of those & that is this one in Hobart:

           I would love to give you more details but I just don't have any. From what I have it looks as though he never told the truth on anything. On his army service records it states he was born 29/5/1919 in launceston, whereas his Victorian criminal record has him being born in 1914. On my mother's birth certificate it has him being born in 1921 at Queenstown, Tas.

His name is also a problem as I have encounted so many different ways its written.... Allan, Allen, Ronald Allan, Allan Ronald. Nothing is consistant on any official documentation.

          After spending half a day researching this gentleman I do believe you lovely folks have found his family.

Any more information that can be found would be greatly appreciated not only by me but also my mother, who knows nothing of her father or his family.

Yes, I would give it 99% that they are his parents 

I can see Ruby Olive, Albert & Allen Ronald EDWARDS together on the 1943 electoral roll in the district of Wilmot, Tasmania & in 1949 there is also a Dorothy.

Ruby is buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery:

Ruby Olive  EDWARDS  age 49, buried 25 Mar 1948 Cornelian Bay, Church of England,  Section : KB  Site number :  Number 180.

Do you have a copy of Allen's marriage certificate to Jean?

You can apply for a copy of Ruby Olive Edwards death certificate as there is no restriction on deaths after 25yrs & marriage certificate as there is no restriction after 75yrs

I have applied for Ruby's death cert today, and will be looking for Albert's tomorrow.

I do not have Jean's marriage cert, but I do have my grandmothers marriage cert, who was Allans second wife, my mothers father. Allan Married my grandmother Bigamous. The last record of him I have found is 1972 and that was on his criminal record from the Victorian police.

I have applied for Allan Ronald EDWARDS birth certificate with a 10 year search either may of the birth date we have of him. I hope this will find something.

Ohh by the way my mother believes that he may have been born out of wedlock to Ruby Olive MOORE as his birth date is not consistant with her and Albert EDWARDS marriage date.
