Hi all
I myself am from kibworth beauchamp. My Mums side of the family ended up in belgrave, but have found further back in st margrets in Leicester as well as st Leonard's, thurmaston, birstall, wigston and walcot.
Dad's family is mainly northamptonshire, but part of it goes back to tilton on the hill and halstead.

In the 1860's some of my family ended up in the slums of Belgrave & Saint Margarets. One part coming from the Workhouse near Rothley the other from Desford.

I have family originally from Higham on the Hill, Peckleton, Enderby, Croft, Shepshed & Hathern.

My wife and I are both born and bred "Brummies" but tracing her family back we have found a direct line back to 1570 and then for another 10 generations up to 1829 all born in Breedon on the Hill, Leicestershire, family name Kinsey.

Framland or more particularly the golden diamond between Melton Mowbray to the south and Bottesford to the north.

I only knew of Leicester St. Margaret's for the past 25 years..... BUT thanks to the many marvellous peeps on RC, most who I've seen comment on this thread... my brickwall has most likely been broken down and I can probably add.... Rothley, Shepshed, Diseworth, Lockington, Breedon on the Hill!  I hope the list will go on.

I'm a 5th gen Australian but I have a feel for Leicestershire I cant explain.  Bring on March 2017...
