Hi again,
I think it would be pretty difficult to find Emily and Walters residence after marraige as it falls between
census. I see their child Elizabeth was born in Hednesford and I think it is her birth cert and or christening
record that you need to look at as either or both should provide you with the address that she was born.
You could have tried directories, but unfortunately Walter was an agricultural labourer and not a tradesman
so you probably would draw a blank there.
Kind regards
Alyson123

Hi Yekepa:

Baptism entries at St Luke, Cannock:

2 August 1848 - Thomas son of Ellen Spencer of Hatherton, Spinster

21 April 1850 - Anne daughter of Ellen Spencer of Cannock, Single woman

No additional comments on either.

Hello Bumble B
Thank you so much, I am almost at the point where I can put a tree together, except for one missing child Charlotte, b 1846. I have not been able to trace her at all from birth, and Iam wondering if she died young.I did however find a Charlotte - died Fazeley 1877 but dont know if this is her?
Also do you know of  Norton Canes. Amongst my many papers I have found I have noted that Emily lived with the Craddock Family (Her Aunt Anne) and in 1871 she was in service at Norton Canes. I have also posted under the heading Electoral Rolls.
Thank again you have been really helpful.

Norton Canes is a couple of miles outside Cannock, going towards Brownhills.  Fazeley is just outside Tamworth.  My initial thought is that this child might belong to the Tamworth Spencers  :-\

Well done BumbleB! ......just so that you know Yekepa St Lukes is the C of E church in Hednesford,
so I imagine Ellen was lucky to get the children baptised, being an unmarried woman.
You will notice from my previous post that I mentioned Emily living with her Aunt Anne Craddock and
husband Amos in 1861 in the Penkridge area (not far from Hednesford) Aunt Ann was born Longdon.

ps there are many pictures of St Lukes on the internet if you would like to see a pic of the church

Hi Alison:  the baptisms were at St Luke in Cannock, which as far as I know is C of E.
