Kilsaran AKA Kilsarn Info
« on: Sunday 08 August 10 22:17 BST (UK) »
My great grandfather was from the small town of Kilsaran/Kilsarn.  His last name was Burns and he emigrated around 1880.  I am looking for any info on the town or relatives he had four brothers.

Kilsaran is a townland of 436 acres in Co. Cavan (Drumlumman civil parish, Granard Poor Law Union).
Have you checked 1901 and 1911 census to see if any relatives are still living there? (listed as Kilsarn in 1901 and Kilsaran in 1911)
