on ancestry...just tried a search for John and Hannah in baptisms for York and that's what it came up with...then I IGI'd marriages for William Leng and Rachel and came up with...

William Leng married Rachel Haward 10 Feb 1740 Bilsdale Midcable, Yorks

and looking through the entries for Bilsdale Midcable, I'm finding very familiar sounding names....Reuben...Leonard....

I know I'm not to get too excited but....woooooo hoooooo

It certainly seems to be pointing one way, but as you say it's easy to get carried away

Another thought, the register might have more details, ie occupations and native Parishes.
