I am not an overly religious catholic but he alone made me a better one than I used to be.  I still do not agree with all the Church's teachings but I admired and respected him greatly and believe it will be a long time before there is another pope as loved, even by non-catholics, as he was.  He absolutely Was The People's Pope.  I am sure there is rejoicing in Heaven tonite yet I just feel very sad.  Leagen

As a non-Catholic - I totally agree with this sentiment - very sad news but I and my family are glad that his suffering is now at an end and he is in a better place.
