Jane Hughes/Michael Llantrisant

Any info about Jane Hughes who married Owen Michael abt 1834. They lived in Llantrisant and had only one child, Owen, to my knowledge. Owen snr was quite some years older than Jane.
Any info about Jane and Owen,and their families, would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Lottee. The only info I have on Owen and Jane are from the1841 census where Owen was down as being 70 and an agricultural labourer. Jane was down as 45 yrs old.
On the 1861 census it appears that Jane has reverted to her maiden name.Owen senior is not listed, I assume dead. She is living with her son Owen 26 in Pen-y-Llyn, Llantrisant and she is down as head of the household. I know nothing of her's or Owen's parents or siblings.

Hi Ena,

There is a baptism record on the same site for an Owen Michael 8 Jan 1771,
Llanfigel. The place name looks similar to that of Owen's birthplace on the 1851 census.

Parents - David Michael & Jane.

Lottee, I think that is them in the 41 census, and it is quite possibly them on the 1851. In 1861 owen married and moved to Liverpool where he became a successful builder.On the 61 census he is down as a Joiner.
