I was silly enough to think I was on my own eating at the computer!! ::)

Actually this compulsion has caused a keyboard problem - 'Enter' keeps sticking and the pages roll forward at a rate of knots! :o

I musta dropped food on it at some stage! What a grot!!

:P No of course i'm not addicted! I'm not! Really. I can't be. It's just a bit of fun, I could stop if I wanted to. Maybe just one more £7? It's not a problem! Honest  ;D

Addicted.....Me?

When I first started, I was only doing a couple of lookups a week, nothing heavy, I could handle it......I thought :-\

It wasn't long though before I was doing them every day,but I still thought I could handle it.... ???......after a while lookups weren't enough, I needed more information, which is how I got started with certificates.....and once I'd started on them, there was no turning back ;D

Mick,

Lookups,   that's how they lure you in.

It's a slippery slope.  :( Soon certificates aren't enough,  and before you know it,  you will be on the transcribing.  That is where it gets really heavy....... :-X

OK,I admit it...

I have done it, but I only 'transcribe' every now and then,I dont do it ALL the time, yet. It was inevitable, one thing lead to another......it could happen to you! :)

I think it just goes to show that we are all a bunch of genealogy addicts and..... nutters ;D

Howard, I loved your Van Gogh family tree LOL.

I am sitting here typing away waiting for my postman to deliver the mail.  I am getting extremely inpatient - why??? because a certificate is on it's way  ;)

Well done Jan and Clincher,

Welcome to Genealogists Anonymous!

Admitting to Genealogy addiction is the first step and you've both done really well ;D

Jan- we've  all been there, waiting for the postie to arrive, I hope he came through for you as I understand the desperation and anxiety caused by late delivery of certificates.

Clincher- Like me,I see you've also progressed onto transcriptions, there's no turning back now, however much you might want to.....If you should run out of transcriptions and need some to tide you over, don't worry, I know a very nice lady in Wales who has got some if your stuck ;D

Keep your spirits up,Mick ;)
