Thought I would add a few more symptoms of "Genealogyitus".

You see a surname of a news reporter on TV or someone being interviewed and the surname sounds like a surname you are researching and think "You have just given me another spelling variant I had not though of before".

On trips out when doing the travelling you think "What registration district am I in now"?

At a RO you make the archivist break out in a sweat with endless requests for original documents.

You research the dead, and forget the living. And get demands from family saying "Where is my cup of tea"? You feel like jokingly saying "I have ancestors to research".
Researching:

LONDON, Coombs, Roberts, Auber, Helsdon, Fradine, Morin, Goodacre
DORSET Coombs, Munday
NORFOLK Helsdon, Riches, Harbord, Budery
KENT Roberts, Goodacre
SUSSEX Walder, Boniface, Dinnage, Standen, Lee, Botten, Wickham, Jupp
SUFFOLK Titshall, Frost, Fairweather, Mayhew, Archer, Eade, Scarfe
DURHAM Stewart, Musgrave, Wilson, Forster
SCOTLAND Stewart in Selkirk
USA Musgrave, Saix
ESSEX Cornwell, Stock, Quilter, Lawrence, Whale, Clift
OXON Edgington, Smith, Inkpen, Snell, Batten, Brain

Yes, my download folder looks just like that, but then I have at least 16 other folders with a similar set up (though some maybe not so large) - main folder then baptisms, marriages and burials as sub-folders for each of my four major lines.  Then there's my Missionary folder containing at least 200 images of his letters back to London  :o  Oh sh..  ::)  And then my folder for look-ups for other people, including at least 70 wills for one person.  Aaaaaargh!!!

My download folder may look a lot like that, but I also have a whole folder with sub-folders and the Gedcoms for my trees on my Google Drive,(in case of hard drive failure on my pc it's happened before :-\ ;D)

and she whispers to BB that she also has a dedicated folder of other people's lookups that I have done over the years... ;D ;D

Well, I just look on it as my having a back-up if their computer fails  ;D  I have no intention whatsoever to offer that information to others.  The missionary files are shared with my friend in South Africa (she paid), the wills were obtained at my local records office for a lady who paid for my photographic licence - there is no way that I would share that information with others.

And I'm sure I did ask you, 3sd, if I could forward the information you obtained for me on behalf of another  ;) ;)

Blimey - am I really that honest?  Yessssssssssssssssssssss  :)  I might have to have another glass!
