John Jordan born 1816 in Milford, Pembroke

I am trying to find out some information about John Jordan who was born in 1816 in Milford, Pembroke  (this information is from the 1881 census when it is stated he was 65 and a land owner living in Shropshire).

I would be most grateful if anyone could find out any information about his parents or if he had any brothers or sisters.

I have had a quick look for him but cant find him with Parents in 1841. As he would be 25 then it is unlikely he would be at home.

Hi radnor,
You can purchase it from here for abt 9pounds. It is the only way to be sure you have the right Father for John. When you receive it post details and myself or others will help you more.
There are a few Trees with John on them but no one seems to have got the Cert to confirm his details!
So even though you are new to research at least you are being thorough.
There are so many Johns that without other info it is hard to find his Family.

From the same Parish Registers but from the register which covers Burials for the period 1839 to 1882 I note
Martha Jordan of Dunn’s Row buried 17 July 1864 aged 06 months by D.W. Morris
Sarah Mary Jordan of Pembroke buried 27 May 1856 aged 07 yrs by Charles Douglas.

From my transcription of the Parish Registers of Pembroke St Michael 1711 to the 1950’s from the register which covers mrges 1837 to 1908 I note
03 Mar 1897 Isaac Jordan aged 25 a bach and Mason of Williamston the son of Isaac Jordan (dec’d) a labourer married Sarah Johns aged 33 a spinster of East End Square the dau of Daniel Johns a Farmer by licence in front of Rees Davies. Both signed their names in the presence of Dan Johns, Margaret Johns and John Kennea
10 Oct 1854 Jacob Jordan of full age a labourer of Kingston the son of Abraham Jordan a labourer mrd Elizabeth Colliers of full age a spinster and servant of Kinston the dau of William Collins a labourer by banns in front of W.M.D. Berrington. Both made their mark in the presence of James (X) Thomas and Jane (X) Williams.

I believe that Anne Elizabeth Ormond was baptized at Carew in 1824. My findings would appear to be confirmed by the IGI, which you can consult for full details. I can give you parents mrge if required.
