I have been researching the Bertie's for many years, thought we were a small family and it has just grown.  Links now to New Zealand, America, England Australia and all points north.  Would love to hear from you or try to help any query.
Earliest record is a Patrick Bertie in lat 1500s would love to find out where it all came from.
Any information to add to the pot is great news.
