A birth cert for Patrick would give you a bit more detail - such as an address (Finglas/Glasnevin is a sub-registration district), father' occupation etc. This looks like the corresponding civil index reference (the page no. matches the extracted record) :

 Name: Patrick Butterly
 Registration District: Dublin North
 Event Type: Birth
 Quarter and Year: 1874
 volume : 2 / page : 658

The Irish Govt website

 https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp

has BDM Certs online, free.

A Search, for example, of BDM's to 1880 can be got via Search attached or amend as needed. One doesn't need to complete all boxes.

The site is free to use but one needs to solve security Catcha and sign in.  I just use initials.

Some with page number on them don't have Images of Certs at moment but will have in future so one can check back now and then for them.
