Carole,

it would have been around 1915. I have the following info:

"The main details from his medal index card:

Awarded British War and Victory Medals and 15 Star.
Rose to the rank of Major with the SIH
Entered France 12/9/15
Address: Fosse House, Ettington, Warwickshire"

No details of the marriage. I think I have a reference to the date, that's all.

It was 12.7.1909 at All Souls Langham Place Westminster

Noel was 26 bachelor  occ Corn merchant and his residence at the time of marriage is shown as Fermoy County Cork.  His father was Charles John Furlong also a corn merchant

Rosemary was 19 and a minor and the cert shows she was married with the consent of her lawful & natural father - Albert St John Murphy occ brewer

Both Noel & Rosemary signed the register

There appears to be 4 possibly 5 witnesses

Both fathers plus what looks like Ross E Murphy and Charles N Furlong and Digby Wallis

That is amazing information. Thank you very much for your time.

I'm connected to this family in some way. Just got to find out how!

A family scrapbook has a picture of Noel leading his horse "Reynoldstown" after his son Frank had won the Grand National in 1935. I know there's a connection with Murphy's Brewery too.
