Rayner family help Please
« on: Wednesday 18 August 10 13:34 BST (UK) »
Hi

I need help in tracing Geraldine Claudia Blanche Rayner She was born c1888
She Married Edwin charles Hitchens 1908 in cornwall
She died in 1946 in cornwall

I have looked on he Cornish OPC but can only find a Gwendoline Claudia Blanche Rayner as a witness to a marriage.

I found the death and marriage cert on ancestry

On the 1911 Cencus i can find Edwin Charles hitchens living with his mother but no Geraldine also by then they had Edwin charles JR in 1909 but he is not listed either.
I have tried checking overseas cencus on ancestry to no avail. Can anyone help or have any suggestions where to look next.

Hi Rosie

Through ancestry it searches both names and all spellings. it is more her family i need so mother and father etc Just there seems to be no connection anywhere.

Rosie was suggesting you try her in 1911 as HICHENS  and that would be on Find My Past.  You said earlier that you can't find her or her 2 year old son Edwin.

It would be best to purchase the marriage cert and hopefully this will give fathers names and occupations.

I see in one census Geraldine is born in Westminster London.

Hi

Sorry to you Rosie I don't know why I assumed ancestry. I thought I had checked all spellings but it is great to have fresh eyes check data. Thank you to all for replies.
