His first wife died at 'The Laurels, Cork, 9/8/1892, interred in Cork

Charles Andrews Carr
Born; 1840 Roscommom
3rd Sub Inspector; 1/6/1859
Pensioned; 1/7/1899
Died; 8/2/1917.
Interred in Dublin, where he erected  a headstone to his daughter, " Sacred to the memory of Margaret Henrietta Carr, who died 5/4/1893 aged 17 years, second and fondly loved daughter of Charles A Carr.

Junior clerk Receivers Office Dublin Metropolitan Police, 28/10/1856 to 16/2/1860.
Married; 22/5/1866; Alica, second dtr of the late Andrew Graves Esq, Derrynaseera, Queens County.
Received two favourable record on 31/12/1870 for zealous and persevering efforts in the discovery and capture of an offender under circumstances of difficulty and taking judicious steps for the discovery of a robbery of money by soldiers.
Temporary resident magistrate; 28/7/1882
Permanent RM 3rd class; 28/10/1882
2nd class; 3/7/1889
1st class; 1/1/1892
Pensioned; 19/1/1903

Are you related to the Joseph Burke Irwin on your post?.

I believe my family is related to his family in Roscommon.His daughter,May Imelda Josephine Irwin became Lady Limerick and according to family we were related to her through my g.g.g. grandfather William(George?) Irwin b. Ireland who emigrated to Scotland before 1826.
