Abby Lee and John Hughes.

Hello,

im trying to find out more about Abby Lee and the family she went on to have with her husband John Hughes.

They married in Canterbury o/n/d 1865,and appear on 1871 as:
 John Hughes born 1845 Canterbury

Abby born 1847 Epwing(Epsom?),Surrey.

Chettes(almost certainly Phillis on image) born 1869 Canterbury.

Jumping forward to the 1901 theres a married Abe Hughes born 1851 Chatham and son Tom born 1883 Canterbury living with Nattie(Walter?) Goldsmith in Canterbury.

Going back to 1891 theres a Thomas Hughes born 1881 Canterbury living in Deal with:

Elizabeth Hughes born 1851 Chatham

Phillis born 1869 canterbury

Hannah born 1872 canterbury

John born 1873 canterbury.

Nothing at all found on 1881.

I think these may all be the same family.If anyone can use this to establish who Abby/Elizabeth is,and also find John on these census id be grateful,

Ive been having a look round and ive found a couple of other things that could be significant:

on the 1851 in Northgate district of Canterbury in a tent theres this family:

James Lee b1821 maidstone fair keeper

Jane b 1820 milton

Jane b1839 wye

Mary A b1846 charing

Edward b1843 ieiom north,kent

Elizabeth b1847 queenborough

Thomas b1849 maidstone.

Whats intresting is that on the 1871 John Hughes wife Abby is born 1847 and they are living in Northgate area.

On 1901 Abe Hughes is born 1859 Chatham,and on 1891 shes Elizabeth born 1851 Chatham.

I know the birthdates are all over the place,but thats not unusual.Im thinking that Abe/Abby/Elizabeth Lee/Hughes could be the same person.Id be very grateful for any other opinions or supporting evidence.

Ive had trouble finding this Lee family on other census,but there is this on 1861:

James Gilder/Gilding(image looks like Yelding) born 1821 n/k

Jane Lee born 1821 Alkham

then 8 Yelding children,all born place not known,but they dont seem to match with earlier Lee children.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated,
