Chivers Family/Histon/Jam Making

Hello,

I now know my great grandmothers surname was CHIVERS,her father was NORMAN CHIVERS.

Does anyone know of any connection between NORMAN CHIVERS and the CHIVERS BROTHERS who set up the jam making company in Histon Cambs......I believe there names were JOHN and WILLIAM?

if you google chivers jam history you,l find the histon &impington site theres a brief story of the chivers brothers and there father steven no mention of norman though

The only way of establishing if there's a link is to trace the names forwards/backwards - it's difficult to know which way as you don't give any dates.

I have done research on this families activities.  I belive the two brothers who originally settled in Histonwere from Cottenham - so you might like to look at the Cottenham records for a start.

I have just noticed - blind or what? - that you have the Jack Cornwell VC photo and that you are researching the Cornwells. Are you related to Cornwells in Bottisham? Are you related to the VC winner?

That's correct my Great Grandfather was John Travers Cornwell's Uncle 
My Mother was a Cornwell before she married my Father and we still have family in the Cambridgeshire area.
