James and Margaret's children's names definitely appear to match the trad naming pattern:


Helen   - Margaret's mother
James  - James's father
Neil  - Margaret's father
Alexander  - ?  (maybe James's eldest brother  :-\  )
Catherine  - James's mother

Trying to narrow down James's death to see what the death cert says about his parents.

Margaret died in 1904 in Largs, Ayrshire. At that time James was still alive and was the informant.

Nothing promising there and too many Lanarkshire deaths to really be sure.

Have you got any marriages of the children after that date that might give a clue about his death date or any family info relating to a possible death date?
