the mistletoe inn northwood

hi my anscestors years ago name edge used to keep the mistletoe inn which was in victoria street northwood stoke on trent the street is now name cardwell street. iwondered if anyone as any information on it and know where i could get a photo of it please it would be much appreciated thank you sophie 03

i,ve just had a google round looking for the mistletoe inn and casn,t find it but there is a holly bush inn on the corner ofkeelings rd and cardwell st it appears to be the only pub in cardwell rd , the thing is did you want an old photo  of mistletoe inn or a modern one ?

hello trevor thanks for your reply the mistletoe in was half way down cardwell street it  is no longer a pub it was an old photo that we wanted but to manage to get any would be good. thanks again trevor  sophie

just been on google street view theres a large house painted blue &white which still has the iron frame for a pub sign attached to the wall if you havent done so have a look

no probs ,hope it,s the right place ,would you post a message just to let me know if it is or not will keep looking to see if i can find an old photo some how , by the way it might be worth getting in touch wiyh the stoke main library sometimes they carry old photos only from my own experience where i lived in colchester i got some photos dating back to the  1800,s it,s worth a try

i,m so pleased it is the place , i have googled stoke  on trent pubs and there is a bit on pubs that have closed down it seems every one but the one you want   , will keep looking for you and of course let you know if i find anything .

just a thought what era did your rellies live at the mistletoe and have you done a census search for them ?
take a look at this site www.thepotteries.org it,s got loads of stuff on there you may be able to get help through it
