I remember the Mistletoe as i used to work in the area. I think it closed in the early 1990's. There is a house down on Bold Street that used to be a pub. I don't know if that is the Lamb and Flag though. It is the white one by the alley at 75 Bold street.

Unfortunatley the white house in bold street wasnt the" lamb and flag",,it was "the rising sun" which went years ago,,,
we have been up northwood today,and looked up and down the streets,,went to have a look at the mistletoe inn,,,the pub has long gone ,but the bracket still on the wall where the pub sign used to be,,we,ve taken some photos.

Now you mention it I think I remember it as the Rising Sun. I used to work on the council around Northwood from around 1978 and was quite familiar with all those steep streets. There was also the Cross Keys, The Cross Guns and I think the Sneyd Arms. A lot of pubs for a small area.

Hi Zen Thank you for your message we saw the Cross Guns it is still going , but the Holly bush as finished and also the Cross Keys , the wheatsheaf stores is still operating , yes there is a lot of steep slopes in Northwood Thanks a lot Sophie

It came to me last night that the pub I thought of as the Sneyd Arms was in fact the Albert

Hi Zen Yes i remember the Albert Inn it was in Mount street i think its been turned into flats now , i think The Lamb and flag in Bold street was where the old folks bungalows are now thanks a lot Sophie
