I remember the Mistletoe as i used to work in the area. I think it closed in the early 1990's. There is a house down on Bold Street that used to be a pub. I don't know if that is the Lamb and Flag though. It is the white one by the alley at 75 Bold street.

Hi zen
Thank you for your tips on how to find the pubs..very interesting
Unfortunatley the white house in bold street wasnt the" lamb and flag",,it was "the rising sun" which went years ago,,,
we have been up northwood today, and looked up and down the streets,,went to have a look at the mistletoe inn,,,the pub has long gone ,but the bracket still on the wall where the pub sign used to be,,we,ve taken some photos.
thanks again
sophie

Now you mention it I think I remember it as the Rising Sun. I used to work on the council around Northwood from around 1978 and was quite familiar with all those steep streets. There was also the Cross Keys, The Cross Guns and I think the Sneyd Arms. A lot of pubs for a small area.

It came to me last night that the pub I thought of as the Sneyd Arms was in fact the Albert
