1841 census lookup please for richardson

              William Richardson married abt 1815 don't know where. huntingdonshire records office told me there have no marriage record for him, either it was lost or he married in another county.

Or he didn't exist!

I can't find a marriage of Robert Richardson either

    I have sent away for mary's marriage certificate so we can see her fathers occupation was.
   huntingdonshire record office give me this information. mary ann richardson baptised in brampton 3 aug 1817 and john richardson baptised 28 jul 1816 to william and ann. there is a burial for john richardson 24 mar 1820 and ann richardson aged 25yrs 4 may 1819 in brampton.

     I had a reply from the GRO. They wouldn't issue a marriage certificate because William is not the name of Mary's father. so huntingdonshire record office gave me the wrong information. so it looks like Kovel has found the right information. on the England and Wales marriages 1538-1940 there is a Alexander Gifford marrying Mary Ann Richardson. father Robert Richardson. There is a Robert Richardson marrying a Mary Watts in Leighton bromswold 16 Oct 1815. possible parents match for Mary Ann Richardson.

It depends on what you asked Huntingdon Records Office! It doesn't sound as though you asked for the marriage; rather you asked them for a baptism of a Mary Ann Richardson at Brampton c1816. They gave you the right information. If you'd had full details of the marriage, rather than going by the GRO index, you could have ruled out the 1817 baptism as being the wrong father - assuming the parish register was correct when it named the father as William!

Which brings us back to your original question. Where was Mary Ann Richardson in 1841?
