Henry Collingwood married Esther Purslow in 1771 in Westow North Yorkshire. Their son, Henry, born 1807, possibly married twice, firstly to Molly Brierly and then to Harriet Oldham in Rochdale in 1846. Amongst Samuel and Harriet's children was Henry Purslow Collingwood, born Rochdale 1848. He moved to Newcastle upon Tyne and married Lucy Mary Hunter there in 1872. Henry and Lucy's family returned briefly to Rochdale where they had 3 children, including another Henry Purslow Collingwood born in 1880. The family then went back to Newcastle and there, Henry Purslow Collingwood jr. married Edith Mary Summerside in 1903. In 1914, Henry and Edith in turn had a son who they called Henry Purslow Collingwood. This latest H.P. Collingwood married Margaret Poppleton in Newcastle in 1938. We have family connections through the original Henry Purslow Collingwood and we are trying to trace descendants of the last one, who married Mary Poppleton. Anyone out there?
