Hello and welcome to rootschat.

I have a Tom Castle b c1876 who was a Carriage Builder's Assistant in the 1901 census. His father was also Tom and he was a Carriage Builder at Newark.

Tom, junior, had a brother John b c1882 who married my great great aunt.

Is this your family? I don't know much about them but I can let you have what little I do.

You will need to do another couple of posts before I can send this  by the personal message (PM) system - this is to avoid spammers. I think it is 3 posts that you need.

Hi Brie, Yes, this is my family.  Tom Castle is my father and I actually have quite a bit of information about them including a Will and newspaper cuttings.  They were a prosperous family and built up a good business in both Newark and Worksop.  Who was your great great aunt?

Hi Suzanne,

Welcome to rootschat.

I only have a little bit of information about the Castle family derived from the censuses. It regards Tom Castle b. 1850 and his children. If you would like this please let me know..

The person I am interested in is John Castle b c1882 who married my gg aunt. I have details of their marriage but would love to know what happened to them after that.

Hello

I am related to the Castle Carriage Works family.  I also have a lot of information and photos of many of these people.  I have a photo of the whole family in front of their home.  I also have the original advertisement booklets for the Carriage Works.

My grandfather (Albert) was the son of Thomas Percy Castle (1850).

Thomas Percy (Tom) Castle was married to Harriet Herrod.  They had 8 children.

1  Thomas Percy (Percy)  1876
2  Mary Elizabeth (May)  1878
3  Sarah Hildred (Hilda)  1880
4  John Horace (Horace)  1882
5  George Ernest (Ginger had red hair) 1884
6  Harry Castle  1886
7  Albert Leonard 1888
8  Alan Douglas   1890

I have birth, death, spouses, marriages for all of these children.

John Castle  (1819) was the father of Thomas Percy Castle (1850).  I will post more information that I have on John Castle and his children.
