1841 Census - Hambledon - LEAVER
« on: Saturday 09 June 07 17:41 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am trying to find a James Leaver b abt 1770 and his wife Harriet Leaver b abt 1791 (Sussex) in the 1841 Census for Hambledon, Bucks.  James did not die until 1847 and Harriet after 1861 so am very confused as to why I can't find them.
Any help would be much appreciated.
All their children were baptised in Hambledon.
Thanks.

Hi Meemi,

Do the names of the Jones family at HO107/52/7 5 5 ring a bell by any chance?

The help I get never fails to amaze me.  This is great, this is the James I am looking for.  A researcher was kind enough to find out quite a bit of info for me and she did mention that James had an alias of Jones.
Thank you so much. I don't know what I would do without this site!!!!

Meemi.

Hi Meemi,

I have just found out today that James and Harriet are my (Gt Gt Gt grandparents). You aren't Wendy purchance who provided this information?

The line goes:
My father's (Robert White) mother was Ethel Leaver daughter of Richard (born 1852, Isle of Man), son of Richard (born 1824 Hambleden) son of James and Harriet Leaver.

I would be grateful if you could help with any information,

Regards

Rob White

Hi  Meemi
I am replying to a posting you made on 9th June 2007 concerning James and Harriet Leaver of Hambleden. I too am a Gt Gt Gt grandchild.
Have you managed to trace further back than James born in 1175 to Elizabeth?
