Hi Gary,
I have recently been given a rough handwritten family tree that my grandfather completed years ago. He has Mary & Edward Giffard on there as my great great great grandfather. My grandfather's name was Arthur Giffard & lived & died in England. His father was Edward John Giffard (1887-1938) but I cannot find any details on where he was born. Do you have many details on the Giffard's?

I don't have much information on the Giffards at the moment, my 3xgrandmother was Matilda Isabella Giffard born 10-01-1847 St.Helier, Jersey, one of the  daughters of Edward Giffard and Mary Le Gallais.

I'll have a good look round and see what i can come up for you.

Thanks for quick response      My internet has been down all day so apologies for my slow response.

My 3x grandfather was Oscar Giffard, the son of Edward & Mary, He was born in 1855 in Jersey. He had many children but his son Edward John Giffard (but he may have been known as Ted) is who I am having trouble finding. I do not know if he was born in the channel islands. I think he was born in 1887-1938 but he may have been born in London as I have a scrap of paper from my grandfather (Arthur Giffard) that says Edward is buried in Frien Barnet, london.
