Microfiche Reader - how to locate the bulb?
« on: Sunday 29 August 10 18:13 BST (UK) »
Hi

I recently purchased a Microfiche Reader without any instructions and wondered if anyone may be able to help where or how I get to the bulb should I need to change it?
It is an Agfa-Gevaert Copex LD 75D.

Mine is not the same make but you can lift the screen up and take it out to get at the bulb so may that will work.  There is a little bar above the focus knob and it just slides out - a bit like a photo frame.

Hi Andrea

I have lifted to screen and I still can't seem to get to the bulb.

I've attached a photo of the inside of mine and wondered if you can tell from the photo how I get to the bulb - it seems to be under one of the lenses but if you take lens out there is another lens underneath it and I don't know how to release it!

The bulb is in the base unit not behind the screen.
Access will be either by removing the front of the base unit.
Or though a section of the back or rear.

Guy

PS just checked there will be a drawer that slides out of the front and the lamp unit and all electrical components are housed in that.

Your a star Guy  :)

It is different to my last reader I had which was behind the screen - this one a draw slides out at the front - pity the PDF file isn't in English but the pictures were enough to go on - thanks.

I've had this Microfiche for a couple of months now and only discovered the actual on/off switch 2 days ago  ;)
