Hi Madhu

As Val mentioned in Reply #2, you can search the following site free for the 1901, 1906 (Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba only) and 1911 Canada census.  Use the split screen view to see the actual images.

Hi

If there was a registered marriage in BC for George W. Smith and Eugenie Lewis, you should be able to find it by searching the following sites:

Hi Madhu

Glad you found your folks on the Census.

I wasn't able to easily identify the entries for the following names.  Could you check the pilot family search and BC archives sites for them, and if you find something of interest, please post the Name, Reg. Number and B.C. Archives Microfilm Number for the entry.  That will give me the info I need to do the look up.

Arthur Norman Gartrell born 1906 Vernon BC (perhaps he died after 1989)
Samuel French 1873  Eng.
Thomas French 1874 Eng.
Francis French 1876 Eng

I found the info for the others on your list and will do the look ups within the next week or so.

Cheers,
Susan

Thanks, Madhu.  I'll let you know when I've been to the library to do the look-ups.

Hi Madhu,

I was finally able to get the look-ups done at the Family History Society library.  If you would send me your email address via pm, I will send you the information.

Sorry for the great delay....life got in the way lately and the library has been extremely busy on my last couple of visits so it took me longer than usual.

Cheers,
Susan

Dear Madhu

Can we talk? I think I've probably got some of the information you are looking for if you are looking for Gartrell/French information. I've done the French family history to the year 1500 and am (literally) on the last page of writing.

Hi Catherine,
Yes, of course. I would be great to hear or should I say see what you have found and we can compare.
Are you related in any way, just by chance?
You can send me a PM if you prefer
Madhu
