Hi tara thank you for all your info, my next step was to see if i could try and find Ralph's death cert, what you have send me has very strong possibilities, if so where was Ralph in the 1911 census, as their is no record of him and why is his wife now living in cork by herself with her children, will have to look into this.

Many thanks for your help
Annette

Hi Annette
Hasn't Tara been great looking up all that info!
I have Bridget's death in 1927. She is buried in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin and Ralph is also buried there.
Regards
Agnes

many thanks tara, what a great job, it is great to get this information I'm so glad that Ralph was looking for work and not living in Dublin without his wife and children. this makes the collins side of my family nearly compleat, i now have to work on the other side my dad has a great interest in genealogy and for the last year we have gone to national Libra, marrage record office not to mention other places, not easy for him as he is 80 this year, can i ask you did you get all your info from irish genealogy .ie. once again thank you from the collins side (my mothers side)

Hi Annette,

Ralph sounds like a proper man to me who was out doing everything he could to earn a living for his family.

Re info, I use a few different sites www.irishgenealogy.ie - 1901 & 1911 Irish census - www.familysearch.org - www.ancestry.co.uk - www.rootsireland.ie or ifhf as it's also known, each of which I would be lost without. Each site takes a while to get the hang of and a lot of the time you need to play around with spellings of names (perfect example was Ralph) but it's always worth it :)

Re your Dad's family - you can PM me if you need any help there - no probs !

Tara
