Is there any Irish records available for the years around 1811? If so, could someone with access to those records be kind enough to look for him? Thanks.

John Scowcroft was born in Ireland sometime around that year, but no trace of his birth has been found.
Smith (Lancashire), McKenna (Ireland/Liverpool/Leyland), Maynard (Hertfordshire/London/Preston), Ricketts (Gloucestershire/Wigan/Preston), Scowcroft (Preston), Harling (N. Please keep in mind that at this time it was the midwifes duty to register all births until the law was changed (? year) to parental responsibility because of huge numbers of births not registered.
It is always wise to check out batisimal records also if birth records are unavailable.
