Hi Debra,

I don't know if Edward Senior had anymore Children while married to Ann. I do know that Edward Junior and his wife had children while they were in Australia.

The link is not working my end.
It could be him, it would make 71 years old.

Hi Tracey,

Try http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/  (Family History - free searches online) and you will also see a tab for transcription agents.  This is a cheaper option than purchasing from the registry and you get all the same information.

Hi Tracey,

This is the entry from NSW indexes:

1868
ROWETT,     EDWARD
AGE 71 YEARS
DIED LIVERPOOL (No parents named)
Reg Number: 4475

These are the sites for transcription agents:

www.transcriptions.com.au/
www.joymurrin.com.au/
http://home.iprimus.com.au/lturtle

This will show you what info you may get on a death cert.  It will of course depend on the informant's knowledge of the deceased. http://www.jaunay.com/bdm.html

Hi All,

I'm getting confused here, but could this thread be part of the following thread ?

Hi JM,

yes it is. I didn't relise this thread was still going when I added the other one. Sorry for the confussion.

I would also like to know what became of them I know they married 10th Dec Hobart. I would like to know if possible what work they did, where in Hobart they lived before going to mainland Australia, what they did when they got to the mainland.

Have you checked the Tasmanian Archives, they have detailed information on many of the convicts ?

http://www.archives.tas.gov.au/nameindexes check the link to the left of that screen, menu item is Tasmanian Convicts... you may need to work through several sets of records but you should find them both.  He was convict number 61295 and there are three lists noted for him, a conduct record, an appropriation list and a description list.   Ann Bostock was convict number 5992 and there are two lists, a conduct record and a description record.

Also I have added info to my earlier post

Re two threads, perhaps if you contact the moderator for this board (Kris) she can merge the two.
