im looking for the birth of joseph green parents where joseph henry and mary green(nee blaire) he died in 1908according to burial records for poynton church

If you search freebmd site you may be able to identify Joseph Green's birth from that  and then buy the birth cert. 9GBP.

have you looked for him on various census?  If you can find him it will give some idea of his birth year.

Do you know his approx age when he died?

His birth and death may not have been recorded on the GRO registers if he had been stillborn.

As Joseph and Mary had Allen in 1907 and Phyllis in 1909  i tend to think that they just buried the little one.

There was a birth registered in Prestury of a Joseph Green in 1908 but he is still alive in 1911
