RE: Sect S36 - Robert Alexander Edington died 9th October 1942 at Haddington 81years. His wife Mary Sirrell  at Haddington Died 9th September 1924.

These are my paternal great grand parents. Most of my father's side lived in and around East Lothian back to at least 1800. I have a reasonably developed family tree that includes them. I may be wrong but I have the feeling that my grandparents (the next generation) were both buried in a church cemetery (likely St Marys http://www.stmaryskirk.com/ ), so there are doubtless further Edingtons buried elsewhere in and around Haddington, unless it's the same place.

There were a few Robert Alexander Edingtons in the family including my own father - who was naturally born in Haddington! It seems to be a family name....

Did anyone find out a relationship between my great grandfather Edington and the Edingtons mentioned in this thread? That would potentially make some more tree connections.

Murray Edington
