So the Charles Lynton descended from was born in 1882.

I have been researching the Hong Kong newspapers on line, dating back to 1838 and there is mention of Ellen Wilkinson.  Is she the Ellen Wilkinson that was a member of Parliament?

I am related to Sarah J Wilkinson and William Josiah Wilkinson through my husband's family. Sarah and William Josiah were brother and sister. Sarah J married Arthur Davies, whose daughter Beatrice Davies married Frederick James Wilkinson in 1924 in Hong Kong son of William Josiah Wilkinson. They were first cousins, I was told this by my mother -in-law.
I have just found this sight after many years. I have been talking to a Marilyn Holt in Canada.

Hello.  Would you be the same family that has two trees (Wright/Brown Tree & Brown/Wright Tree2) on Ancestry? I'm William Josiah Wilkinson's (Hong Kong), great grandson.  William died at age 55 (myocardial infarction), on Feb.21/1926. He served with the Royal Marines (enlisted 1888) on HMS Audacious & HMS Palas.  He purchased his discharge in 1894 at Hong Kong. He entered HM Prison (Victoria Gaol) as a warder, and left the system as the Principal Warder. He then became the 'Overseer' for the Hong Kong Land Investment & Agency Co. (1900).  I'm thinking I can now post my email address as I believe I'm over the 3post mark.  Would be interesting to compare notes.  Addy-------> *  Cheers!

I am the same person who has the Brown/Wright tree 2 on Ancestry.com.au the tree2 is the lastest update one. My husband Robert Brown is the great grandson of William Josiah Wilkinson. His grandfather was Frederick James Wilkinson, who married Beatrice Davies Or Davis. I have been in contact with a lady in Canada who is the granddaughter of Robert William Wilkinson.
