Hi
I am new to this forum and happened upon it, after a chat with my mother this evening prompted me to do some research.
My mother's father worked for "Reggie" Walker, who had a large and successful horse training establishment at Rathvale in Athboy. I am fairly sure this is the son, Reginald, that is referred to and while he is not the direct point of your enquiry it may give you a lead, as I feel this was the family home.
My mother was born in 1936 and my grandfather was "headman" in Reggie Walker's stables, this means he was in charge of the day to day running of the horse training.
Reggie Walker was a very successful National Hunt trainer in the 1940s and 50s, in Ireland and though I haven't checked the records I believe he trained a horse, Royal Danielli, who came 2nd in the Grand National.
My Mum says he had a son Denis who became a vet and went to South Africa and another son Mervyn and a daughter Prudence.
I have looked at the area on maps and I think the family home may now be named Clifton but I'm not sure.
I hope this may be of some use.

Lots of contradiction in different articles
one says Royal Danielli 2nd 1938 owned trained and rode by Dan Moore
The other by Reginald Lynes Walker

Reginald Henry Walker died 1951 registered by his widow Emily Heather Walker
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1951/04513/4187607.pdf

appears to have been born 1881 in Trim birth cert not viewable

this article says his father was George
https://sites.google.com/site/jockeysbirthdays/walker-reginald

though he appears to be the informant on Gerald's death 1914

MAY ISOBEL WALKER WAS THE MOTHER OF MY GRANDFATHER, JOHN HENRY PERROT 1904-1940 - HE WHO DIED AT DUNKIRK.  MY MOTHER, JULIET, WAS HIS ONLY CHILD.  SO MAY ISOBEL WAS MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER.  I'M CURRENTLY CLAIMING IRISH BY DESCENT THROUGH JOHN HENRY AS HE WAS BORN IN MEATH.

Sorry to have spelt Isabel wrong - on my grandfather's birth certificate the 'a' looks like an 'o'!  I like that my great grandfather Henry Alfred Perrot was visiting the Walkers during the 1901 census.  On John's birth certificate (1904) Henry Alfred's occupation is 'grazier'.
