 have you found Ann on the 1851 census? They are both from same area he's not with her?
On marriage cert who are the witnesses could also be a connection?

I located Anne Lewis on the 1841 census for Llanddewi Brefi, Gorwydd [HO107/1876/15/8] at home with her parents.  David Lewis, 25, weaver; Marianne [Mary Anne] 25; Anne is aged 5 and there is baby sister Hannah, 7 mths.

On the 1851 the family are residing at Cherry Tree, Llanddewi village [HO107/2487/272/10]
Anne is not named as 'Anne' but there is a Mary aged 13 ? [this is probably Anne] because next in line is listed Hannah aged 10.
