Swedish & Danish letters need translating - Southern NSW
« on: Wednesday 15 September 10 04:04 BST (UK) »
I have photocopies of letters, some in Danish, some in Swedish and not speaking either language, need translations.
Does anyone know of anyone who can help me?

I live about an hour west of Albury, in southern NSW, Australia

Regards, Alison :)

Thanks Tina,

that would be wonderful.  :)
Would you like to PM me with your address? Are you in Australia? If you are, I'll also put in a stamped return envelope for you to send the letters and translations back. If not, I'll get my thinking cap on to work out how to recompense you for the postage.

Regards, Alison  ;D

Hi Alison,

No, I actually live in Denmark. Can you not scan the letters and email them to me ?

Hi Putti,

Sorry it's taken me so long to get organised; I've been having scanner issues  :(

I don't think I can attach anything in a PM, so I've put a page here. This is probably the clearest one. See how you go; I'm not expecting great things when you take into account both the quality of the copy and also the hand writing. If you could send any translation by PM, I'd be grateful. If it's too difficult, just let me know and I'll do as you suggested in your PM.

Thanks so much,
Alison  :)  :)

Yes the writing looks a little hard  ;) I will be to England for a few days for a trip but when I return back to Denmark I will take a closer look and translate for you.

Good to know about this as am a newbie here i guess will get to learn many sites on this forum

Welcome to RC.

You certainly will. I'm a relative newbie myself and have found the RChatters amazingly helpful. It's also amazing the links they know.

Cheers, Alison  :)
