William Audey, 1871 and before
« on: Friday 17 September 10 14:01 BST (UK) »
One of the troublemakers in the Hull Charterhouse was a man who is called William Addey or Oddey in the documents but is probably the William Audey of the 1881 census.  If so, he was born in Hull in 1810 and married to Sarah, born 1826 in Hull.  I would appreciate help in finding them on earlier censuses.
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

Many thanks.  In 1890 he was reprimanded because his "language and demeanour" were "unbecoming".   ;D
