Ephraim Harvey from Wilby
« on: Saturday 18 September 10 07:45 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am trying to find the birth record of Ephraim Harvey born 1839 Wilby Suffolk, His father was James Harvey I have no other information about his father or mother but any information about them would be a great help!
1841 Census shows that the children were home alone and father was a baker.
Many thanks.

Hi Nanny Jan
Many thanks for the link I have found that some of the family were all baptised on the same day. Which is a great find as I have been looking for ages and found nothing!
I knew Ephraim was a baptist as in his will he left money to the church and the Sturgeon Orphanage.

Regards
Andrea

It has been a long time since I've been on this site. Since I last had communication with you I've moved to the UK. I'm still chasing my Harvey line and have had some success I'd like to share. Hopefully you are still using this site

Was very pleased to see that you are still on this site.
We're living in Wilsden Green, hoping to move sometime  in the next six weeks over to Crystal Palace way. Where are you.
I have made contact with a Harvey family member who we are hoping to meet up with sometime.
As to James he is very elusive isn't he. I have a copy pf his death certificate and affirms he was alive at the time of the census. He died in November 1841. Death notified by one Charity Allun. Who was probably his sitter. Also found her on the same census with husband Robert and 8 year old son Robert.
Once we havemoved we will be looking at buying a vehicle and then I want to actually go to Wilby to look at parish registers. In a previous entry there was a mention of the children being baptised. Do you know which parish/church that it took place.
looking forward to hearing from you.
