Hi there,
Just saw your posts re smiths in Dunbur Wicklow.  Dont have mush info regarding them but it would appear we may be related!! I am a direct descendent of the Smiths, my parents still living in Dunbur in the house once owned by Samuel Smith.  My great grand mother was Isabella Jane Smith who married Henry Webster of Glenealy Co. Wicklow.

excellent - my great great grandfather was Edward Smith and any information no matter how small greatly appreciated. I know very little about my Wicklow family.

And likewise any info you have would be brilliant as Ive only been working on this side of family tree for about 3 months.  Leave it with me as we are currently under 6 inches of snow but I know we definetely have pictures of some of the Smith family and of the house etc. if you would be interested in them I could email them to you.  Will ask Dad  for more info on them and let you know what I can unearth.

Hi Gillian,

You know me from the shop; my birth name might through you though. Glad to see you are still researching the family.

I had forgotten your Gr. Gran was Anne Payne. Her father was Michael a platelayer on the railway
I’m sure you have got the c 1911 for Michael and his wife Catherine and his family: I have a little information on some of their children.
b1 Tinakilly Murragh, 64/41 spelt Pyne age 40 [bc 1871] platelayer

Hello!!

The name threw me alright.  Yeah still trying to unravel all the family secrets.  Doing a bit on and off but still trying to get my head around where to find everything!! Got all those census records thanks plus a bit more info from the family.  Still trying to find out where the family originally came from though as they weren't local but it helps that Pyne is an unusual surname.

Merry Christmas to you too and a very happy and prosperous new year to you all - Gillian :)
