st john the evangelist - Pendlebury/ Irlam o'th Height
« on: Tuesday 21 September 10 17:44 BST (UK) »
I recently went to St John at Irlam o'th Height to find some family graves as my gran had mentioned alot of her family were buried there.
I had a look through the grave stones at the rear of the church and found one but when I spoke to my gran she said the grave yard used to be full.

Does anyone know where I can find any monumental Inscriptions of the graveyard before it was grassed over?

Cheers

The MI's could be at Salford History Library.

Try the Salford Forum at Salford.gov on Google, someone on there might know more.
Did you look at the side of the Church, as far as I can remember there were loads there, haven't been for years though.
