Many thanks for that Ricky.....Ive had a look at the Parish register (St Alban's?) and it looks as if the father of William was Richard but it's not too clear.

Interesting!
FreeBMD has Marriage Reg Dec 1848, Norwich, 13 670
2 Sarahs on page DUBBIN and WATERING

Familysearch Pilot has;
26 December 1848, Norwich, Norfolk
William MADGETT, Father ROBERT Madgett
Sarah SUTTIN or WETERWIG, Father Robert Weterwig
(IGI has her as Bullin/Wetering)

Also;
William MADGETT/Sarah BUTTIN, 24 November 1848, Norwich, Norfolk
There seems to be no corresponding FreeBMD Reg for this.

Confused ???

1841 Census
Mayes Yard,
St Margaret, Norwich, Norfolk
HO107/789/8/St Margaret
Robert WATERING, 48, Musician
Elizth, 43, Weaver
Susan, 12
SARAH, 8
Next door is;
Joseph DUBBIN 21, Lab, Elizth 20, Sophia 18mths
All born in County
I cant find a Sarah Dubbin/Suttin etc other than this one.

Robert WATERING/WARTERRIN married Sarah Dubbin/Dubbing 07 Nov 1809, All Saints, Norwich, Norfolk.
(Different spellings on IGI and Familysearch Pilot)

F/S Pilot has this;
SARAH Watering, Christened 19 September 1830, Norwich, Norfolk
Parents, ROBERT and ELIZABETH
SUSANNA Watering, 15 April 1827, Norwich to same Parents

More confused now ;D

EDIT on the 1851 Census Ricky found the Waterings are on the same page also

Im getting confused by the minute......I have seen a Robert Matchett on the pilot site.

William son of Robert Matchett anf Frances at St Giles. Dec. 1826.

I think it reasonable Matchett could certainly be Madgett.

Sounds French to me.

Many thanks.
