Interesting this one!
1851 Census
Back St,
Norwich St Stephen, Norfolk
HO107/1815/308/39
Robert Lover     44, Head, Mar, Chimney Sweep, born Norwich
Frances Lover    44, Wife, Mar, Domestic Duties, born Norwich
Samuel Lover    19, Son, SHOEMAKER, born Norwich

I have just seen the Marriage entry for William Madgett ,All Saint's , Norwich 1848. Father recorded as Robert Madgett "Sweep"

All I have to work out now is why the surname anomaly?

Maybe its something to do with the Leavers name?
Could they be Robert Leavers Madgett and Family and the enumerator just put them down a Lover mistranscribed from Leaver?

I cant find Roberts Christening but on FreeREG there is a James LEAVERS and Ann MATCHETT who are Christening Children in Norwich at the same time Robert would have been born.
Ann seems to have had an illegitmate child, James LEVER June 1790.
1797 she may have had Twins with James Leavers, Elizabeth and Mary.
Try soundex when searching Norwich, Norfolk for the surname Madgett and all the Madget/Matchet/Leavers stuff comes up.

Samuel Madgets Christening is there also, Mother Frances Simmonds, Father a Chimney Sweep.

Witnesses to Frances and Roberts marriage in 1826 where Thomas and Martha Matchett.
