Updated website gives free access to Worcs Resources
« on: Saturday 25 September 10 11:12 BST (UK) »
Hi Folks

Our committee has been organising the updating of the website of the Bromsgrove branch of BMSGH http://www.bromsgrovebmsgh.co.uk/ this summer.

Apart from a new look, now available from 'off the shelf' modules, we have added some new and free data resources, not available before on the Internet in any form.  In addition, we have our own forum board, just for Worcestershire.  Besides the usual historical questions, our aim is to use this for general communication within the branch.  This will do away with half a dozen, usually out of date, email contact lists that are around.

Some of the copyrighted Resources are:

1811 Census for Bromsgrove (NEW!)
1821 Census For Bromsgrove (NEW!)
1841 Worcestershire Institutions
Wills - Bromsgrove wills of the 17th century (NEW!)
Map of the Parishes of Worcester City - 1839
Member's Surname Interests - Browsable and Searchable by all.
Some recent back Issues of the Bromsgrove Briefing are available as .pdf
documents

The website is open all, but for some areas you will need to register with a 'silly' user-name, and BMSGH Members can go deeper still.

Branch Chairman.  And we will able to inform you of events we are helping at.
