William WILSON & Ann MYCROFT of Tuxford
« on: Saturday 25 September 10 19:16 BST (UK) »
Searching for my ancestors William and Ann WILSON, I came across their marriage on 15 Jan 1784 in Tuxford, Notts. It stated that "William WILLSON" was a widower, and next to where Ann MYCROFT should have signed was written "X the Mark of Ann RATCLIFF". The couple went on to have six children that I know of: Mary (1787), William (1788), Dorothy (1792), Thomas (1794 - my ancestor), Hannah (1798), and Lucy (1806), all baptised at Tuxford except for Lucy, bapt at Norwell, Notts.

So I am trying to work out:
  • Who was William Wilson first married to and when did she die?
  • Baptisms for both William Wilson and his second wife Ann Mycroft or Ratcliff?
  • When did William and Ann die (burials - at Norwell perhaps)?

Any of these pieces of information would be very helpful.
