I take it they're on the 1881 census and then vanish after that?

I spose it depends if you feel you're a beginner or not!

There's migration records on Find My Past:
http://www.findmypast.co.uk/

I had a look but couldn't really find anything (you can search for free but you have to pay to see transcriptions or scans of the original document).

I've checked John Toy and John Tighe on the UK incoming passanegers database and got nothing, I'm afraid (just in case they came back!).

Looked for Mary Toy, Mary Tighe, Maryanne Toy, Mary Anne Toy, Maryanne Tighe, Mary Anne Tighe, with the date of birth plus or minus 1836 and couldn't find anything. This was on incoming passengers, which is on Ancestry.  ???

Hi,

Could this be a grandchild, Maggie's daughter?

Colen Campbell Grant Tighe b 27 NOV 1898   Ercilla, Ix-Region, Chile
Parents:  Campbell Grant  and Maggien Tighe

married Rosa Adela Fellay  1922 Chile
died cir 1972

It is a member submitted entry on the IGI so should be checked if possible.

I also found this on the Ancestral file, possibly your Patrick or a relation?

Patricio TIGHE b cir 1879 Ireland married Annie Scott

If this is your family on the 1871 and 1881 census then it looks like there is more than one son. I can't see the imagse to check, maybe someone else will be able to take a look,

Hi Copright editor,

Please can you tell me why you have removed the incoming passenger information?  I transcribed the information myself from the image.

The information source quotes,

'Data imaged from the National Archives, London, England. The National Archives gives no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or fitness for the purpose of the information provided. Images may be used only for purposes of research, private study or education. Applications for any other use should be made to the National Archives, Kew, Richmond, Surrey TW9 4DU.'

Not being completely sure about copyright of trancriptions of images I called the National Archives and explained he situation that I had transcribed an image of a passenger list to a message board to help a fellow researcher, not for a fee etc. and they told me 'If transcribing from a NA document there is no copyright violation and no fee, unless I was reproducing the actual image.'

So I'm not sure what copyright violation you think I have made :-\

Regards,
Daisy
