Angelo Arrighi - the Italian connection
« on: Saturday 09 October 10 14:25 BST (UK) »
Angelo married Mary Forster in 1845.
They seemed to live apart  but appeared to have 3 children
I have a possible death for him in Italy in 1875 but the document is in Italian and almost impossible to read anyway.
Anyone have any links to my Italian ?

I have scanned it but it's too poor a reproduction for anyone to see.
Looking at the other Italian records Angelo Arrighi seems as common a name as  John Smith !!

Yes, I believe so.
In 1849 according to his son Henry's baptism, he's a butler

1851 he's a servant in Gilesgate, his wife Mary is a housekeeper and she has their oldest son, Anthony, there with her. Henry is with the maternal Grandmother.

Mary dies in 1861 in Lancashire - home to her brother William - she was on census for that year with Henry

1871 Angelo and Henry are in South Shields as a ships broker. and upholsterer

I thought it would be an easy name to work but the variants are beyond belief.

Still looking for Angelo in 1861 and trying to sort out marriages for Anthony who's a widower in 1881
