Still no answer from Lisnalong so I'll email the Northern Standard newspaper
and see what happens.

Hi Chris
Did you hear anything since?
I had a break through I happened to meet a grandson of Atkinsons At Lisnslong.
He is young (20.s)  but knew alot about history of area.
He said for me to call to his Grandmother. He said there's some book he knew of Samuel A and that someone else had called house looking family tree info.
So I will do so & let you know within next 2 weeks
Best Regards
SM

Hi,

I am looking for any and all information re the Atkinsons in Lisnalong / Cootehill. Ive gone back to Matthew Atkinson and Mary Black, but I can't seem to get any further. I'm a direct descendant (fathers side) from Samuel Atkinson and have never lived in Ireland and I'm trying to find out as much as I can.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Hi Everyone,

For anyone related to Samuel Atkinson, I am planning to go over to Ireland to commemorate 100 years since his death (this March).

If any of you are interested in sharing any info, or meeting up with some more Atkinsons who are coming with me, please drop me a message and I will send through the details.
