Seeking TARTUFOLO

Hello

I'm helping my Sister in Law to try to find any information on her ancesters who came to Australia she believes in the 1900's, Francesco & Clementina TARTUFOLO, they were born in Italy, in England he was an  ice cream vendor.

We have found on the passenger list that Clementina travelled on the Ormuz departed 25th February 1925 destination Sydney, together with her son William, she thinks Clementina's husband Francesco came earlier although we can't find any information as to when he sailed.

Can anyone help with any information please

Also are there  any BMD records on line for sydney we could check.

Yes NSW BDM is online, I have checked and there are no TARTUFOLO's

I have also checked The National Archives , Immigration or Naturalisation records.

The only mention is of  Clementine and William arriving on 24.3.1925 on the "Ormuz"

There may be more information on the file { where or who they intended to live with etc.} if you obtain it.


I have also checked Victoria and there are no deaths of TARTUFOLO's up to 1985.
I have also checked the Australian Electoral rolls up to 1954 and found nothing.

Does your sister in law have any knowledge of where they lived in Australia ?

Many thanks for your reply, thanks for looking in the records for us, it's strange you can't find any information apart from Clemintina and her Son William, as my Sister in Law said rmany years ago a relative of hers (I think she said an Uncle) went to Australia for a holiday, looked up the name in the phone book, found an address and visited the family, he kept in touch with them after his return, sadly he has died, there must have been relatives there all very strange, she did say some of the family used a different name, so maybe he came out using that one I will be seeing her later, I will ask her what the name was.
